
Lululemon Vision Statement
CURRENT VISION STATEMENT
“We’re a values-based company with a mission to create components for people to live long, healthy and fun lives. Carrying out our mission is only possible with a healthy planet and thriving company; we’re taking steps to reduce our footprint across all areas of our business while also creating a positive, lasting impact in the world.

We are working to be part of an elevated world that operates within nature’s boundaries and provides for human needs everywhere on Earth — including the opportunity for everyone to lead a happy and fulfilling life. No biggie, right?

CRITIQUE
The vision statement creates a communal atmosphere that focuses on health and fitness. Little attention is paid to the roots of the company and how that has influenced Lululemon. For example, the company was initially based around yoga which is not part of the vision statement. Additionally, the vision statement does not mention the products produced by Lululemon. The quality, style, or buyer of their athletic clothing is not part of the company’s vision.
REVISED VISION STATEMENT
In a revised vision statement Lululemon should include information regarding the roots of the company. The company should focus on where they began and how that has influenced Lululemon. They should also focus on the products they create and how that influences people. The current statement is very community focused rather than product focused.
